Soccer Stars Football Academy terms and conditions
There must be a minimum of one parent or guardian present at the location of the class until the session finishes, unless notified and agreed with a member of staff before the session starts.
Data
We will use your data to operate our business, which includes analysing our performance, marketing and promotional communications, meeting our legal obligations, developing our workforce and doing research. If you do not wish for your data to be used in any of these ways, please email [email protected].
Refund policy
We do not offer refunds or replacements for missed sessions. If Soccer Stars cancel a session, an additional session or a refund will be given.
Photography and video recording
Photography and video recording of our events may be carried out by Soccer Stars staff or an authorised third party, and used for marketing, the website and social media. If you do not consent, you must email [email protected] before your visit.
Safety
By allowing your child to take part in our activities, you accept and acknowledge that Soccer Stars Football Academy is not liable for any injuries sustained at any of our events.
1. Acceptance of terms and conditions
1.1 Please read these terms carefully before you book our events. These terms tell you who we are, how we will provide events to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information. If you think there is a mistake in these terms, please contact us to discuss.
1.2 All those wishing to attend Soccer Stars events must agree to the terms and conditions set out below. The terms are accepted by the parent or guardian on payment of the fee by or on behalf of the parent or guardian. Payment by a carer is made on behalf of the parent or guardian.
1.3 These are the terms and conditions on which we provide Soccer Stars events to you. No variation or addition to the terms is binding unless agreed in writing by Soccer Stars and the parent or guardian.
1.4 All agreements relating to the teaching by Soccer Stars of the pupil are subject to these terms, to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions.
1.5 In the unlikely event of a customer failing to abide by these terms and conditions, a customer may be asked to stop attending Soccer Stars. In this case Soccer Stars is under no obligation to provide a refund for any outstanding lessons.
1.6 The parent, guardian or carer agrees to keep the content of Soccer Stars events confidential and not to copy or use any part of Soccer Stars events directly or indirectly.
2. Information about us and how to contact us
2.1 Soccer Stars Football Academy is a company registered in England, number 11943849. Our registered office address is Soccer Stars Football Academy, 1 Harry's Row, 27a Midland Road, Bournemouth, BH9 1PA.
2.2 For specific questions about Soccer Stars events, please email [email protected].
2.3 If we have to contact you, we will do so by text message (including WhatsApp), telephone, or by writing to you at the email or postal address you gave us when booking.
3. Booking, payment and cancellation
3.1.1 All events must be booked through our website, www.soccerstarsfa.com.
3.1.2 You must give us certain personal information in order to book a class with us.
3.1.3 During the booking process you will be asked to read and agree to these terms and conditions, which include our session rules. When you have booked, you will receive a confirmation email with what you have booked, the time and location, and other information about the programme.
3.1.4 All class timetables are correct at the time of publishing. If your class time or location changes, Soccer Stars will do their best to tell you within a reasonable time.
3.2.1 All events are paid for in full before the pupil starts the course.
3.2.3 Fees and payments made to Soccer Stars for classes, coaching sessions and activities are non-refundable except where at least 48 hours' notice has been given and/or with the prior written agreement of Soccer Stars, unless the child has attended the first class of their course and you give notice in writing within 24 hours of that class that they will not be continuing, in which case the course fees will be refunded in full within 28 working days (excluding any booking fees and charges made by Soccer Stars' web and payment providers).
3.2.4 If events are cancelled for reasons beyond our control, such as extreme weather, strikes, terrorist activity, or where local authorities or public guidance advise that events should be suspended for health or other reasons, credits will be given where possible.
3.2.5 Birthday parties need a non-refundable payment of at least 50% before the event, with the balance paid on or before the day.
3.2.6 When paying online we accept Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
4. Cancellation by Soccer Stars
4.1 Soccer Stars may cancel this contract at any time before the pupil starts the class, for any reason. Soccer Stars is not liable for any loss or damage arising from such a cancellation.
4.2 In the unlikely event of last-minute lesson changes or a cancellation by us, Soccer Stars will tell you with as much notice as possible. Soccer Stars will not reimburse expenses incurred by a customer who did not receive our message.
4.3 If a class is cancelled by Soccer Stars, we will offer you a credit for the value of the cancelled class.
4.4 If too few children are booked into your class, we reserve the right to cancel it. In that case we will offer you an alternative class or a refund for any remaining sessions after the cancellation.
4.5 If Soccer Stars cancels before the pupil has started a class, we will refund any fees for outstanding events within 28 working days.
4.6 Sessions are ongoing and to be used consecutively. No credits or refunds are given for missed events (see section 5).
5. Attendance
5.1 Your payment reserves your child's place, and if you miss a lesson for any reason we are unable to refund you. If you know you can't attend, please give us at least 48 hours' notice by email or phone.
5.2 If you have told us you can't attend and your plans change, please contact us first rather than just turning up: if the class is full, your child will not be able to play for insurance reasons.
6. Cancellation by the customer
6.1 The cancellation rights generally available to consumers under their statutory rights do not apply to the events we provide.
6.2 For new customers: if your child attends their first session and you decide it isn't for you, we will give you a full refund as long as you tell us in writing within 24 hours of that first session (excluding any booking fees and charges made by Soccer Stars' web and payment providers).
6.3 Existing customers who cancel their class are not entitled to a part refund or credit for classes not attended up to and including their final class, unless Soccer Stars cancels a session (see section 4).
7. Parent and guardian responsibility
7.1.1 The information in the booking form is accurate in all respects, and you will tell Soccer Stars straight away about any change.
7.1.2 When attending events, neither the pupil nor the parent, guardian or carer will be suffering from any contagious illness, disease or injury.
7.1.3 It is your responsibility to tell us about any condition that could affect your own or your child's capabilities during sessions, and to tell us about changes as soon as you know of them. All information you give us is treated as strictly confidential.
7.1.4 The pupil is under the direction, care and control of our staff throughout the class, and staff are responsible for the welfare and conduct of the pupil throughout the event while on the premises.
7.1.5 The parent or guardian will indemnify Soccer Stars against all loss, liability, costs and expenses that Soccer Stars incurs as a result of any action or inaction of the parent, guardian, carer or pupil.
7.1.6 Customers are expected to behave in a civilised and respectful manner at all times towards the coaches, other customers and members of the public on the premises. If Soccer Stars decides the behaviour of the pupil, parent, guardian or carer is unacceptable, Soccer Stars may exclude them from the classes and premises permanently or for a period Soccer Stars decides.
7.1.8 Siblings of the pupil may come onto the premises as long as they do not join in the lesson (unless they enrol in the right age-group class). Siblings are the responsibility of the parent, guardian or carer at all times.
7.1.9 There will sometimes be physical contact between the coach and your child, which will always be carried out in a professional and caring manner.
Session rules
For health and safety, please supervise your children around the pitch and venue before your session starts.
You are the responsible adult for your child when they are attending a Soccer Stars session. Please stay within easy sight and reach of your child at all times.
Please arrive promptly so sessions start and finish on time, and let the coaches know if you have to leave early (this is for emergency evacuation).
Please keep siblings, buggies and equipment off or well back from the playing area at all times.
If a coach asks, please have your child sit with you on the sidelines for a full 3-minute time-out to calm down.
Please bring water, but no food may be eaten on the pitch, to avoid the risk of choking. Please take all litter home.
To follow our safeguarding and child protection policy, please do not take photos or videos at Soccer Stars sessions without permission from a member of staff.
Please keep noise from the sidelines to a minimum so the children can concentrate.
Please make sure your child wears sports clothing and suitable footwear, and bring clothes for the weather for outdoor sessions.
